Our journey

Milestones 2019–2023

From an agricultural trading business, Lien Viet Green step by step became a specialty coffee company with its own production, export and OEM supply.

2019
The beginning
Operating as Lien Viet Agricultural Company, focused on trading and distributing agricultural commodities, with coffee as the core.
2020
Transition
Rebranded as Lien Viet Green with a green, sustainable direction. Direct partnerships with farms under off-take agreements.
2021
Laying the foundation
Opened the Office & Coffee House complex in Hanoi. Commissioned the roasting and packing facility. Launched steeped coffee bags.
2022
Official-channel export
The first Vietnamese company to export specialty coffee through official channels into China.
2023
Expanding partnerships
Trade promotion with the Yangtze River Coffee Association, the Chongqing Coffee Association and international coffee organisations.

Our story

Why we work in specialty coffee

Vietnam is known as a powerhouse of Robusta, usually second in the world by volume. Yet the quality of Vietnamese coffee has not received the international recognition it deserves.

Farmers and their struggles

Looking for an answer to that paradox, we met many Vietnamese coffee farmers: humble, hard-working, and carrying many worries.

In the race for volume, many families cut down their coffee trees for fruit crops. For many first-generation farming households, faith in the future faded as the global coffee industry changed too fast.

A troubling paradox

While the world increasingly values every drop of specialty coffee, in many places in Vietnam people still drink blended coffee: corn, beans, flavourings, even salt. That reality pushed us to act.

The journey is not easy. But with ambition and the company of true coffee lovers, Vietnamese coffee will be recognised not only for volume but for quality and character of its own.
